How it all started...
Mariella Mejia organised her first event in her parent’s backyard... While they were away.
100 guests and three bands later, Mariella knew she was destined for a career in events and marketing.
Over the coming years Mariella organised events internally at John Wiley & Sons and the Victoria Tourism Industry Council (VTIC) and externally for Exponet & International Convention Management Services (ICMS). Clients included The National Heart Foundation, Chemical Engineers Australia and the Australian Society of Microbiology.
Throughout this time Mariella used digital to build communities and enhance traditional marketing methods.
This took Mariella to London to work in the 'digital world' where she worked building a community online for CPC Connect that built dating apps, websites and also owned a radio station.
Combining digital and 'real life' is what makes Mariella 'tick'.
Through building communities and partnerships through social media to the more traditional methods of organising events to educate and connect.
To date Mariella's parents still don't know about that party...
